The Thinking Soldier War Memorial

Market Square, High Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3NR
Pause for a moment in Huntingdon's historic Market Square, and you'll spot the Thinking Soldier, a striking bronze figure sitting reflectively on a stone base, rifle by his side, deep in contemplation.
Unveiled on Armistice Day in 1923, this moving tribute honours those who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars, and later conflicts.
The Thinking Solder has been a fixture in Huntingdon for over 100 years and still draws visitors, wreaths, and quiet reflection every Remembrance Day.
Top Tip: Capture the statue with the backdrop of the beautiful Market Square architecture...it's Huntingdon's history at its most heartfelt.
Statue Of Oliver Cromwell

6A The Pavement, St Ives, PE27 5AD
Meet Oliver Cromwell: farmer, soldier, and one-time ruler of England, standing tall in the heart of St Ives.
This Grade II listed statue unveiled in 1901 celebrates Cromwell's time living right here in St Ives in the 1630s.
This statue is a local legend. Funded entirely by public donations, it's one of only a few Cromwell statues in the UK and the only one in a place he actually lived. Talk about authentic!
Top Tip: Visit on market days (Monday & Friday), Snap a selfie, then explore the surrounding areas and discover the charm of this lovely market town.
